Good morning everyone. Are we all warm enough this morning??

It's blinkin' freezing here. Thick white frost with a temp currently of Minus 5. Woke to a Minus 7 at 6.30am according to the temp. thing!! Brrrr.

Not venturing far today - only to the post boxes, bird feeders and back again. Staying in where it's warm.

Working my way through the January and February Birthday lists ready for posting next week. Getting on top early so I don't fall behind when we hit some tough times that may come our way.

Anyway, hope you all have a good day. Keep warm.

Alison x

Sorry i am so late replying, been busy looking at options shoukd our hosts close and shopping and working.

We didnt have a frost visible this morning, but must have been cool as the greenhouse went down to just 1°.

Now that the xmas decorations are down i can think about cards again, although getting to coloured base card in craftroom is hard as the patio chairs have been put in there to keep them out of the wet and cold.

Right nust sort tea out or we wont be eating tonight! Enjoy whats left of the day.

Just sent a big order to CC. Puzzled by this possible closure. Not had any emails from them, but don't think I ordered last year.. They still had my details though. I stopped getting papers etc., from them when they went from A4 to 12 x 12. I find that size very wasteful for my projects. I use plain backgrounds for scrapbooking and no lumpy embellishments. I have enough 12 x 12 card and paper to last the rest of my life even if I make it to a royal birthday card!

Hi, sorry due to the GDPR nonsense we can only email customers who signed up to our newsletter last year if you didn't receive one it means you haven't signed up or it went to your junk mail folder.
If you want to be kept up to date with any clearance offers we may have in the future you can sign up here - NEWS.
Strangely we have never changed from A4 to 12x12 in our printed papers we have only ever done 12x12, A5+, 6x6 and 4x12 Papers and A4 Card.
Many thanks.

Thanks for that Paul. I have now signed up.
I did a lot less crafting in 2018 thanks to being knocked down by a mobility scooter on 14th January. I am still having treatment on my left leg, so had to give up making cards to sell. Then in the summer I developed a cataract. Had that removed just before Christmas, so this year should be more normal.
I shall still be making cards for our parish church to sell. I shall always be needing ds tape and foam pads (1&2 mm) and transparent sleeves for those,. I am getting low in aperture cards and would love to see some interesting shaped apertures for iris folding. (Stars, for example) A lady now in a care home gave the church an enormous amount of craft supplies for that project, but much of it was create and craft découpage, and I have become heartily sick of découpage using it up and still have 2 A4 boxes full. I like to use different techniques and once did an exhibition of 65 ways to make a greetings card - and listed five others I never use. Since then I have used pan pastels and flower soft.
Hazel Lee and another quilling expert friend taught me that technique. Hazel and I are both getting on in years but will never give up,our crafting as long as we have sight for it. My new lens is stronger now than before the cataract op, which is really encouraging. I shall be 85 in May and am less physically active than I used to be since the accident.
