Hello Can anyone tell me if they have the same problem as I do,with the A&B plates of the Bigshot(not Pro)bending very badly?Even when I have only used them 4 or 5 times, they bend.At one stage my top plate cracked in 2 places.I'm not a beginner to cutting machines, but not an expert either. I had a Cuttlebug for many years,(should have kept it)and never once had any bother. The plates did bend with the Cuttlebug, but it was after they had been well used, and over a long period of time. Please can anyone help.I am at my wits end with this, and no longer enjoy getting the Bigshot out to use. Thank you xx

goodmorning.
I have a bigshot plus (A4size). I did have a problem with my cutting plates bending to a shape where they were ready for scrap. After that I did some studie and found out I had to turn them over in time.
But never had problems with the basic A&B plates. They are not meant to be turned over.
Have you tried contacting sizzix? Maybe they have a solution?
best of luck |

I didn't have that problem with my big shot. It was just too big and bulky to fetch out from under the study desk when I wanted to use it. I sold it at a craft fare and bought a Cuttlebug instead. I've been using that with no problems. I did get a Grand Calibur too when it was on offer so I could use A4 Embossing folders. Had a few teething problems with that, but C&C replaced it when plates got stuck half way through. They could not release them either so I lost two dies. They replaced one set along with the replacement cutter but the other had been discontinued. I've had no problems with the replacement machine.
