Morning all, very grey here and trying to rain at times, although the sun has now pushed through again just now.

Placed an order woth our hosts on Sunday and have had 3 calls about it this morning. For all those who like using the linen card it is being doscontinued! It is my staple for stitched cards as gives a little texture as well as the stitching, i habe had the last of the A4 but they are making it up with other size, so if anyone uses it i suggest you see if you can order some before its all gone!

Work to do shortly as the boss did t make sure money was in the account i use to pay the suppliers on Monday, as a result i have all the end/beginning of month bills to pay or sort and emails to send. Hey ho.

Work has started on the new temperature blanket, i tested the pattern yesterday and have done 2 of the 5 base rows so far, cant order wool until we get paid on Friday so thats going to slow it a bit.

Hope you had a good new year, was as quiet as could be here because of poor Mikkie, she is petrified of the fireworks, but thankfukly she disnt seem so bothered this yearand the fireworks didnt go on for half as long either thankfully, i hate the darned things.

Anyway have a good day folks.

Afternoon Jacqui and anyone else who pops in.

Cloudy and dry here but very cold. We had a Minus 2 overnight so very frosty first thing. Brrrr.

Had some jobs to do this morning, but now sitting down and having a little play. Managed to get Joe interested in his little electronics kits, so that's good for now. Got a nice Chicken Casserole on the go in the slow cooker so that'll be a nice warm filling meal for later.

Heard this morning that Joe has his first assessment appt in two weeks for the depression / PTSD, so I'm glad it's quick, fingers crossed that they can help him now.

Jacqui - glad the fireworks weren't a problem for you this year and good that you have made a start on the new blanket.

Hope you all have a good afternoon.

Just had a quick run to Tesco for some ingredients for slow cooker recipes. Just enjoying my first go at their macaroni cheese. Tastes ok but too stiff for my taste. But the recipe is in ml of milk. I think I must have got the conversion wrong, or their recipe does need less macaroni or more milk to start with! Just checked another recipe for slow cookers and that uses the same amount of pasta but 125 ml more milk and crème fraîche. Found the book Ann gave me has conversion charts in the back. Did use too little milk.
Need to check liquid conversions as I am not used to ml and my metric measure only has 100 divisions.and I assumed they were 1/100th of a litre.
Sun came out awhile this morning but has gone in now and it's greying over fast.
Thank goodness the little BBC cook book John gave me with the cooker has imperial as well as metric measures! The one Ann gave me is metric up to a point grams I can manage with my kitchen scales and it has simple things like tsp and tbsp instead of ml!!BigGrin i
Just realised why I like Pinot noir: it tastes better than most other red wines! Had a small glass left from yesterday/ far too good to use up in cooking!
There are four things I should do this afternoon: I suspect only one of them will get done, two if I am very lucky!
Nowfor a coffee and then to work. Enjoy your afternoons and evenings.Smile
