Good morning ladies from a wet and miserable SE Kent.

I hope you have a better day Jacqui and you manage to get your plants sorted out.

Alison I hope you had a good day and enjoyed your crafting.

You asked about my BP and the answer is no I haven't got it sorted, stopping all the medication didn't help at all and the nurse was quite shocked when she tested it twice on Monday morning, so I am back to taking on tablet in the morning and this morning the reading was quite normal at 134/69 so hopefully it will not get any lower and when I see the doctor next week he will be quite happy with the decisions I have made.

Have a good day ladies and I hope the weather is good where ever you are.

Bye for now...

Berniece

Good Morning Berniece and all who follow this wet and miserable morning.

I'm feeling tired now. I awoke at 4.30 this morning and couldn't get back to sleep. By 5.45 I could hear that OH was awake and once he new I was awake he started to chat and chat and chat. So I decided to get up, as did he. But now it's caught up with me and I could quite happily go back to sleep.

Yesterday we had a meeting with the estate manager of where the flat is that we are buying. She has to go over various things about the flat and how the management company works and what her job entails. Basically she will have whatever contact we want. If we want her to check on us each day, or each week or if we don't want her to at all. She took us into the flat to explain how the emergency alarms work and various other things. Once I was back in there I just wanted to move in as soon as possible. I guess we'll get there eventually.

She told me that once a month everyone in the complex, or most people, get together for a coffee morning. When I mentioned about my crafting she said that a couple of the women were interested in crafting and perhaps we could put something together for that. I'm just not sure how that would work with OH. Gosh, you can tell I'm excited again about moving.

Everyone have a good day, and Berniece I think your doctor should be happy with your decisions.

Good morning Berniece, Jean and all who follow.

We have a dry and warm morning here but very wet overnight again.

Managed to do a little crafting yesterday, so that was nice. Hoping to do a little more today, but not sure how much as Joe got very little sleep last night and is quite down again today.

Berniece - I hope your BP stays normal for a bit now. Take care.

Jean - the new place sounds great and I do hope you will be able to move very soon and get back on with life again. All the best hun.

Hope you all have a good day.

Alison x

Good afternoon everyone. Sorry I haven't been on for a while. I'm still trying to get rid of this headache. Went to see the Dr. on Monday and he said it could be one of the tablets so I'm to stop taking the extra blood pressure on for 2 wks and see if the headache stops. If not then he will stop the anti depressant as they can also cause headaches. I've been taking them for months but he said that sometimes side effects don't come out until over a year.
Went to coffee morning earlier and get drenched walking home which is only 10mins. I had to change my trousers and dry my hair when I got in. We are going to the meeting about the road closure to replace the railway bridge this evening. They are saying now that it will start in Feb and take 20wks. We are all aware that this has to be done but they could put a temporary bridge a bit further along. Shopping is coming tomorrow then I have to take to cat to the vet for her booster. Christmas shopping on Friday.
I hope you are all well and enjoy the rest of your day.

Love, Judith.x

Good afternoon all. The new flat sounds ideal for you Jeanne and a crafting group would bee good for you even if the other two are beginners and you end up teaching them. With that kind of support I am sure they would arrange for your husband's care while you are there. Does OH have a name. I find it much easier to think of Joe and Martin as real people, simply because their OHs have shared their names! .
Sometimes I think doctors these days work on the premise " see a problem throw a pill at it ". But some do show their side effects after a long time. One I am on started showing its side effect (persistent dry tickly cough) after a year. The doc cut the rose in half and that was fine until about six weeks ago. He suggested stopping it for two weeks, starting again then going to see him. It took 12 days of the fortnight to stop then after a week back on them it started again. I turned up for the appointment on time and computer said there were other patients waiting in front of me. After ten minutes no one had been called to any doctor. I went to reception who said I was down to see a different doctor and there were two still waiting! I said sorry but in that case I cannot stay as a friend is coming to take me to a pre op assessment at the hospital. I managed to get a book ahead phone appointment with the right doctor but that is not till next week. I, am stopping that pill as of now because I cannot risk a cough in the middle of a cataract op. Sight is far more important to me than a pill that is merely a precaution against high bp, which, in my case, has always been normal! Only time it was high was when I was in hospital. My daughter pointed out that that could be to the strange place, seeng as I was (then)75 and it was my first ever stay in a hospital, except for two USAAF maternity wards! Once the nurse said I could go home it dropped back to normal!
I hope you get satisfaction re your work top Jacqui. And I will make sure no one I know in the Norwich area uses that firm! Thanks for telling us who they were even if that was on a closed site!
Have a good day all. Slept the clock round plus so now need breakfast!

No he doesn't have a name. He's just my current husband. Sorry, that was a joke, a rather poor one. I've never used his name on here, it's sort of anonymity. But I suppose it doesn't really matter. His name is Brian.
