Make a beautiful silhouette wedding card. Can also be used as a lovely way of giving small earrings or a fine chain by putting them onto the silhouette.
An idea using Funstamps Cat Flap rubber stamp to create a greetings card, a second option using their Horse in Stable stamp is also shown.
Another lovely quilled design by the very skilful Eileen Walters. Shown on a birthday card but would also be great for mothers day.
This very cool cat is made from vivelle or felt. Actual size templates are given for cutting out the shapes. Easy to make and looks good, try changing the background for a different effect.
A simple idea using ribbon wound onto a plastic mesh grid to make a lovely centrepiece for a card. Connie has used paper flowers for the surround but it would work with lots of other backgrounds and is just right for Easter.
A stencilled farmyard design, instructions are given along with a full size template for making the stencil.
A design with a lot of texture in the stitching and with red felt making very eye catching flowers for the main subject in the card.
A very pretty and delicate quilled design which would be great for many occasions. Jo has used a pen and ink to write her message but if your handwriting is not up to this there are any number of different ways to add the wording.
No less than eleven cards are shown in this project. Foam sheets come in a lovely range of bright colours, they add depth to the design and are very easy to cut to shape. You can buy many of the items needed for all these projects including sheets of foam from our on-line shop.
Wendy visited Australia and was so inspired by the Great Barrier Reef that she made this lovely undersea embroidery. The background has been painted with fabric paints to give the sea effect.
A neat way of giving a gift within a card. A folded hanky makes the design and can be removed afterwards for use.
Parchment craft combined with a little quilling makes a perfect card for Mothering Sunday, again it could be adapted for other occasions.
The first half of our beautiful shadow alphabet. Stitched onto off-cuts from net curtains, the stitches are worked onto the back of the fabric and the fine net allows the colour to show through.
These are the type of hand made cards you can find in all the shops at the moment and are quite expensive to buy. Try making your own instead and make them even more personal with just the right greeting.
A beautiful design, mixed embroidery and ribbon embroidery stitches make a great combination in this card.
A bright, fun rubber stamped design using sequins to great effect. Make a pretty frame, put the sequins inside and seal for an unusual shaker card.
A pressed flower design frames the parchment craft lamb in this sweet design.
Use this stitch guide to help with any of the embroidery stitches used in, Great Barrier Reef, Rose Garden, or Felt Flowers.
Make a colourful hot air balloon design for a children's card. Although the main design is made from fabric you could easily make it from coloured card instead.
