Craft Creations Magazine Issue 17 - Spring

Two sets of decoupage designs are featured in this project. We have four toy designs to make simple cards for children and four wildlife designs with lots of detail. Full instructions and pictures are given for all eight designs.
Just right for Father's Day, you have plenty of time to work on this smart Bowls design which is made from quilling paper. Would be just as good for a birthday card.
These bunny faces are made from velour stretched over card templates and the inside of the ears are made from a pretty patterned fabric.
A mixture of thread and ribbon embroidery are used in this beautiful Easter design by one of our regular contributors. The silk background has some details painted on before the stitches are worked, diagrams and very detailed instructions are given.
An Easter Design based on the real meaning of this religious event, with a stitched verse from taken from The Bible.
Irene has mixed pressed flowers with some chunky fridge magnets to good effect in two of these card designs. The other two use a more traditional woven half basket to display the flowers on the card.
Another design with Father's Day in mind. Our version is stitched onto pale blue fabric and the footballer is wearing blue and white. You could easily change these colours to suit the team your father supports.
A really simple little cross stitched card. If you have young children who enjoy crafts why not help them to stitch this little birthday card for someone they know.
The hen and chick are cut from corrugated paper. Cutting the paper so that the corrugated lines run in different directions on each piece is a clever way to add detail to the birds.
In this stencilled design Hessian is used for it's rough texture. It is coloured using a stencil and acrylic paints.
Conny has made this beautiful, intricate design from coloured Fimo. Each step is shown with actual size diagrams so that you can check your pieces for size and shape as you go along to be sure of a perfect result.
An Easter cross with lovely parchment flowers trailing around it. The wording on the design reads 'Easter Blessings'. The cross is made from holographic card but for a more subdued effect there is also a version using a stone coloured Fimo. cross.
The idea shown in this project is to cover the outside of the card in a pretty patterned paper before choosing a design from elsewhere to fit into it.
Two really quick and easy cross stitch designs on one page. Choose from a tiny flower card or a bee bookmark.
This magazine issue has a few designs which can made for father's day and this is another of them. Made using the very popular method of pricking the design onto the card then stitching between the holes.
This Freesia design fits perfectly into our large square card with a round aperture. Hilary has given detailed instructions for mixing the colours to achieve the lovely variations in tone across the petals.
A neat idea to make a snooker table card using green felt and balsa wood, the balls are small beads. Also shown is a version using paper punched dots, a cue and a blu-tack chalk square.
An extended quilling project which goes into great depth showing you how to make two beautiful quilled Spring cards using the 'husking' method. There is a section on marbling so you can make the background paper to go behind your work as well.
